Do You Know How Many Indians Paid Income Tax in the year 2015-16

The data displayed by  Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Just above 2 crore Indians, or 1.7% of the total population paid income tax in Assessment year 2015-16.
The number of Income tax filers raised to 4.7 crore in A. Y. 2015-16, From 3.65 crore In 2014-15. But only 2.06 crore truly paid tax rest of claimed income under tax limit.
The interesting facts is that the total Income tax paid by individual declined Rs. 1.88 lakh crore in A. Y 2015-16 as compared to Rs. 1.91 lakh crore in A.Y 2014-15.
The data released, last week, Just above 3% of 120 crore population filed return. Of these, 2.01 crore paid nil income tax, 9690 paid tax over Rs. 1 crore. Only one individual paid over Rs. 100 in tax         (Rs. 238 crore)
Of the 4.07 crore return field in A.Y 2015-16 Approx 82 lakh showed zero income or income less than Rs. 2.5 lakh. (Currently, no income tax for income up to Rs. 2.5 lakh)

  1. Why don’t they do one conference on Saturday and the other on Sunday? Then teams won’t get more than a few extra hours over the next week’s opponent no matter what. Also, if you don’t want to land at 4am after a win, then play better during the regular season to get home field. It’s called an advantage for a reason.
